Throwback Thursday: Maurice Jones-Drew’s 2011 rushing title
Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew’s 2011 season was both impressive and inspirational as he broke records and claimed titles to be placed among the NFL elite.
Maurice compiled 1,606 rushing yards on 343 attempts. This propelled Maurice to the 2011 NFL rushing title, a feat that had never been accomplished by a Jag. With this title, Maurice became the only Jaguar running back to finish in the top three in rushing yards. Maurice was voted to the Pro Bowl for the third consecutive season after his 2011 campaign, becoming just the fourth Jaguars player to accomplish such a feat.
